The Pregnancy Resource Center’s ministry accomplishes our mission in three distinct ways:
Prevention of Unplanned Pregnancies through Abstinence Education, including STI, relationship and health impacts Intervention at Centers of Compassionate Care Reconciliation through Post Abortion Support Groups

Prevention through Abstinence Education

Reality Unlimited is an educational program that teaches sexual abstinence until marriage as a positive lifestyle for singles and gives presentations to public schools, private schools, community groups and church youth groups.

Intervention at Centers of Compassionate Care
The Pregnancy Resource Centers of Greater Portland help women and teens who are unprepared for pregnancy. We help to meet their emotional, physical, and spiritual needs, enabling them to choose life. We operate six centers throughout the Portland area, and have ministered to over 160,000 women and teens since 1984.

PRC is working to make short-term and long-term solutions available to counter the epidemic of unplanned pregnancies, especially among adolescents. We provide appropriate services in times of crisis, and educational programs aimed at prevention.

A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words

Free ultrasound exams are available to all abortion-vulnerable clients in all six locations. After seeing their unborn child on the ultrasound monitor, 90% of these clients choose life for their babies.

Reconciliation through Post-Abortion Support Groups
HEART stands for Healing Encouragement for Abortion-Related Trauma. These groups provide an opportunity for healing and restoration to those who have been hurt by abortion. HEART equips local churches to facilitate this Biblically-based study for women and men.
